Hi! We live in Southern California, and it’s plenty warm for us. Depending on where you live, it may be more of a summer weight. I don’t think there is batting in it. For the winter, we’ll add another blanket at our feet. Hope this helps!

Yes! Bedding can get SO expensive, but I’ve found that just changing out the top coverlet and a couple of pillows after a few seasons is affordable and keeps things fresh!
